About
Hi, my name is Micheal Bonnah. I am a junior at Bronx Leadership Academy 2 High School.I sing for the Highbridge Voices Singers Choir, which has performed in venues like Madison Square Garden, Yankee Stadium, and Carnegie Hall. I also have a strong interest in learning. I attend an academic program called Sponsors for Educational Opportunity (SEO). The programs aim is to get students to and through college. SEO has helped me become better academically since it provides resources my high school does not offer like SAT prep, mentorships, college tours, and enrichment programs.
What I’m Raising Money For
The funding will go to a global prep I am applying to in San Diego, California. In order to participate in this exciting opportunity, I will have to meet a fundraising goal of $350. This money would cover necessities like room and board, transportation, food, and the program itself.
Why You Should Give
This summer I have the amazing opportunity to travel to San Diego to learn ways in which students can improve society and the environment around them. This program focuses on current controversial topics of the world like immigration, global warming, and shedding light on different cultures. This opportunity is significant to me because I will see first-hand the real issues at the Mexican border, I will see how climate change has affected California, and I will have the chance to travel to California. This program is my pathway to expanding my perspective and mindset in a world that is ever-changing. It gives me the opportunity to learn how I can be apart of the team that brings peace back to the world.
