About
My name is Shalyn Smalls; I am a junior at The Bronx School for Law, Government, and Justice. Besides sustaining high honors, I attend Sponsors for Educational Opportunities (SEO). My hobbies consist of me reading, cooking and helping others. My passion for engineering has developed over my high school career. I eventually plan to pursue a career in the STEM field.
What I’m Raising Money For
This summer, I will be spending three weeks in Saint Louis, Missouri studying engineering at a pre-college program. Throughout the course of the program, I will be studying the entire engineering field. This opportunity will help me realize which aspect of engineering is best for me. Although I am receiving assistance from SEO and scholarships, there is still a financial gap expected to be filled. I am required to provide funds for transportation, textbooks and other necessary materials.
