About

Hi! My name is Edwin Johnston and I‘m a junior at Eagle Academy for Young Men At Ocean Hill. I’m an African-American, male, honors/AP student whose only dream is to go to college, land a nice job, and, eventually, support a family. I like to write music, go out with friends, tend to plants, experience new things and to mediate to name a few. When I grow up I want to be a botanist to help save the rain-forests.

What I’m Raising Money For

This summer I am trying to go to an out-of-state academic program. It's an art program which is an subject that I've always loved, but never had provided in school. If I achieve my goal I get the opportunity to earn college credits and scholarships that can be used at a multitude of colleges.

Why You Should Give

This would give me an advantages in the college process because, for black males, its hard to get to college since we have to work twice as hard just to be notice and double that just to be chosen. I've worked hard to keep my grades ahead of the curb, but I still need the extra push. By giving aid to me you can help me get closer my dream to go to Cornell and land a nice job as a botanist where I can help combat world hunger. I will be forever in your debt and could not even begin to thank you enough.
