About
My name is Nancy Perez and I'm currently a junior at Manhattan Center for Science and Mathematics. Education has been an interest of mine ever since i stated tutoring kids in middle school! I aided students to pass their state exams for several years and recently, I have been thinking about early childhood education as a career pursuit.
SEO is an educational program and community that I've had the honor to be a part of for the last three years. They've helped me cultivate my passion for education by giving me the opportunity of a lifetime this summer.
What I’m Raising Money For
I have earned the opportunity to travel to Legon, Ghana to promote children's rights to an education. I will assist instructors with lessons, help young children join the formal education system, and oversee daily activities. Your support will contribute to expenses not covered by my merit scholarship such as airfare.
Why You Should Give
Traveling abroad will enrich my experience teaching children in a real setting, explore the world, and interacting with different people on a completely different level than ever before. This will be a very valuable asset in life as I prepare my college applications and as I decide what to pursue after high school. This opportunity can help define what I want my college experience to consist of with your support!
