About

My name is Pamela Alegria and I am a junior at the Young Women's Leadership of Brooklyn.I had always had a passion for robotics because of the science behind the making of regular things we use like a coffee maker. You don't really think of things you use every day and how long it the person behind the creation. I always love taking things apart and figuring out how it worked.I also want to encourage young girls to do challenging field such as computer science. Women have been decreasing in these kinds of fields because they feel discouraged. I want to show other young girls that there is no reason to feel discouraged.

What I’m Raising Money For

SEO Scholar is a program that gives low - income high school students the preparation they will need for college. They offer intensive year-round academic preparation. On Saturday, summer, and weekly after-school classes that are equivalent to 2.5+ years of instruction in English and 1.5+ years of instruction in math.

I am raising money to give scholar like me a opportunities to learn and discover things that they would not usually get to experience. With the money, I raise it will give scholar opportunities to travel, experience college so they can learn to be independent, experience something new like building a robot.These are some of the opportunities they'll get to experience.

The Enrichment Programs that Scholar do are a chance for them to discover something new and learn to push their limits of comfort and helps them gain characteristics like independence and confidence.
