My name is Luis Castro, and I attend New Explorations into Science, Technology, and Math High School, a gifted and talented school in the Lower East Side of Manhattan. I am of Dominican descent, and I am culturally sensitive: I value learning and asking about the beauty of unique cultures. I am also a member of Sponsors for Educational Opportunity, or SEO, a program that will pave the way for me to get into college, break stereotype barriers, and paint a legacy for myself.

What I’m Raising Money For

I'm raising money in order to experience high school summer abroad program–specifically in the Dominican Republic–in order to grasp a sense of cultural inclusion and embark in an adventure of cultural rediscovery for myself.
