About
My name is Tia Callwood, and I am a junior at Richard R. Green High School. I am in an eight-year academic program, SEO (Sponsors for Educational Opportunity), that allows students of a minority background the opportunity to be successful in the future. In my free time, I enjoy listening music and spending time with family and friends. I have always been passionate about my education and I am committed to ensuring my future success.
What I’m Raising Money For
I have been given the life-changing opportunity to travel to Ghana. While there I will be able to fully immerse myself in Ghanaian culture. I will travel around the capital city of Accra and learn about the people, the tradition, and the food. Traveling abroad this summer will be an amazing life experience. Your generosity in donating will help fund my travel.
Why You Should Give
Although being from New York City can allow me some experiences of other cultures, the firsthand experience I will have by living in Ghana for 2-3 weeks will be so much more rewarding. On my own, it is not very likely that my family would be able to fund this trip. However, with your donation, my dreams of enhancing my life will become a reality.
