About
My name is Tiffany Hill and I am a junior at Brooklyn College Academy. I am currently participating in Sponsors for Educational Opportunity (SEO), which is an eight-year academic program. The aim of SEO is to get its scholars to attend 4 year colleges and graduate within 4 years. I am also a volunteer at my local library. These activities are helping me reach my life goal of becoming a pediatrician. During my free time, I am passionate about cooking, dancing and helping younger students.
What I’m Raising Money For
Through SEO, which also focuses on building well-rounded scholars and exposing them to different cultures, I will be participating in an Enrichment Program during the summer where I will be traveling to Spain. This program will help me by exposing me to the Spanish culture and cuisine along with traveling to another city where I will do an home-stay. During my home-stay, I will interact with a family and practice my Spanish by going to museums and other places. Your contribution will help me with funding the airfare, and living expenses not covered by scholarship.
Why You Should Give
On my trip to Spain, I will experience the Spanish culture through visiting museums, learning and practicing dance, music, and participating in city scavenger hunts, ceramics, and arts. Helping me while be a step further in accomplishing my life goal because I will know more about the Spanish culture and my Spanish will improve drastically which can help me with my career field because it will give me the chance to connect more with my patients and parents who are native Spanish speakers or those who are from Spanish descent or a Spanish background.
