About
My name is Lizbeth, and I am a junior at Millennium Brooklyn HS. I am part of SEO Scholars, an eight-year academic program that helps underserved public high school students get to and through universities across the nation. On weekends, I enjoy spending time with family and friends while also exploring every corner of NYC. Personally, I like learning about different cultures and places; in fact, I have dreamt of traveling to Ireland, Japan, and Spain since I was eight years old.
What I’m Raising Money For
I am raising money to fund my participation in my summer abroad program in Spain. This opportunity will help me immerse myself in Spanish Culture since I will be in a new setting. Going to Spain will help me become independent and learn more about the Spanish culture. Given this opportunity, I will be able to live with a host family which will help gain a new perspective on diversity.This will be an exciting experience because I have never traveled outside the United States.
Why You Should Give
By supporting this fundraiser, I will be able to get the full experience. Traveling abroad would bring a new perspective. Ever since I can remember I have wanted to travel abroad. Likewise, traveling to Spain will help me excel in AP Spanish which I will pursue senior year.
