About
My name is Diana Luna. I am currently a junior at Manhattan Village Academy and I am interested in pursuing a career in business, architecture, or psychology. Along with school, I am also part of a program called SEO - Sponsors for Educational Opportunity - since freshman year. I am also part of the school band where I perform at graduation and I participate in concerts formed by the school.
What I’m Raising Money For
I have been part of a program called SEO since 9th grade. This program offers us extra academic classes that help us better understand concepts that we learn in school. They also provide us with opportunities such as SAT Prep, tutoring, mentors, and enrichment programs over the summer before 12th grade. During this summer, I will have the opportunity to attend a pre-college program where I will get the chance to take 2 college classes for 5 weeks and earn college credit for these courses.
Why You Should Give
By attending this pre-college program, I will be able to get the chance to explore a new environment away from the city and be able to get the chance to experience college life. At the same time, I would be able to meet new people and interact with them over the course of 5 weeks. While meeting new people, I would be able to earn college credits as well which would help me get a head start in college.
