About
My name is Haja Jalloh and I am a 16 year old singer song writer who hopes to change the world with her lyrics. When I write music I feel that I connect with a wider audience and I am able to truly show who I am through my voice. My favorite artist is Michael Jackson. I go to a program called SEO and I get to meet new people and show my peers my voice. My first ever performance in SEO was the Michael Jackson song "Billie Jean". Through this experience I realized that I wanted to be on stage for the rest of my life. I can't see myself doing anything in life besides singing.
What I’m Raising Money For
I am raising money to go on a summer singer songwriter course. I will be working on ways to improve my writing skills and refrain from repeating the same songs and writing style. The course takes us out of our comfort zone by exposing us to other songwriters and their skills to help our own.
Why You Should Give
This program will give me the chance to learn other ways to express my voice. I usually try and stay in the safe zone when it comes to singing; however, this program takes me out my zone and places me in an environment were I can grow. This program will help me grow vocally and mentally and I would love to have the experience of improving holistically. Learning from professionals will sharpen my vocal cords and expand my knowledge in the arts. Additionally, I will be exposed to many different people from all over the world. I will be able to learn others culture and their skills. So please help me make this dream come true.
