About

My name is Marvin Agyen, and I am a motivated high school junior. I am interested in literature, technology, and puzzles, and I aspire to be a computer programmer. Outside of school,I try to immerse myself in my community and coding by participating in New York on Tech and Sponsors for Educational Opportunity.

What I’m Raising Money For

I would like to further my education in coding this summer at a coding opportunity. This enrichment program will help me build my teamwork skills and network with a community with people who are just as passionate about computer science as I am. The entrepreneurial and collaborative environment will help me learn in ways I could not at school, and this will help me a strong college applicant.

Why You Should Give

Computer science is an important field that is rapidly changing the world. However, not everybody has the opportunity to learn coding. Because of this, only about 1% of people who work in the tech industry are Black and about 3% are Hispanic. By donating to my cause, you will make joining tech more attainable for more people of color.
