About
My name is Amy Cao. I am a current junior at Eleanor Roosevelt High School. I have been part of the SEO scholars program since freshmen year. I have always been passionate about learning from and helping those around me. I take others’ opinions into consideration and it helps me view solutions from another perspective. During my free time, I would help the community by preparing food at a soup kitchen. Also, I am part of the national honor society and student government in my school.
What I’m Raising Money For
The money raised will help support my participation in an academic program in Missouri this summer. I will have the opportunity to take courses that interests me, such as microeconomics especially when this course is not offered at my current high school. I will also be able to meet new people and earn college credits. All in all, prepare myself for college.
Why You Should Give
Having my parents around, I will always rely on them socially and physically. I need to learn to be on my own, and this academic program to Missouri for five weeks will be a great start. I will truly know how it feels to be living on my own and prepare for college life. In addition, I will be able to explore and share my culture with others while learning from them as well. I am very excited about this program and I will greatly appreciate any donation made to support my academic endeavors.
