About
My name is Arianna Carriel; I am a junior at the High School for Arts and Business. This summer I am traveling to Guanajuato, Mexico for three weeks to volunteer and perform community service. I am very excited to travel to Mexico and help others. Giving back to my community is something I am passionate about, and I can not wait til I can do the same for those in Mexico.
What I’m Raising Money For
During the moth of July, I will perform international service and volunteer work in Guanjuato, Mexico! This program is revolved around Creating Change through Solidarity. This means I will be performing over 50 plus hours of international service. I will have the opportunity to stay with a host family and learn to adapt in a new country. While I am in Mexico, I will be able to participate in activities such as interacting with local peers, participating in local events, and even help in the Lavender Project!
Why You Should Give
When I received acceptance into Mexico's travel abroad program, I was thrilled. This will be one of my first experiences out of the country. I will have to step out of my comfort zone and meet new people with similar passions as I. I am exuberant to be given this opportunity because I want to give back to others. Not only do I want to give back, I want to dive into another culture and be able to interact with peers that come from all around the world. I believe working with others is an amazing opportunity that will allow me to enrich my knowledge and have a once in a lifetime experience.
