About
My name is Alexandra Fernandez and I am a current junior in high school. I am on my school's varsity softball team, and I am very passionate about the sport. I am also a part of SEO Scholars, an eight-year college program that works to help prepare New York City high school students for college through SAT prep and rigorous Saturday and summer classes.
What I’m Raising Money For
I hope to travel to New Zealand during the summer of 2018 to learn about conservation of wildlife and nature. This travel abroad program is for three weeks, and being immersed in nature for this long will allow me to gain a better understanding of the world.
Why You Should Give
This travel abroad program will allow me to apply the knowledge that I gain in New Zealand to my own community in New York City. While in New Zealand, I will cultivate valuable skills such as independence and confidence that will benefit me in college and beyond.
