About

Hello! My name is Michael Mojica. I am 16 years old, and I am a junior at Manhattan Business Academy. If you were to ask my friends and family to describe me, they would describe me as very adventurous, curious, and overall a very easy-going and open-minded individual. I may often crack jokes about everything! I am very easy to talk to and I do my best to help enlighten everyone. I like to keep myself busy by attending a variety of programs such as the CHILL program which allows students to go snowboarding. Additionally I attend SEO scholars which is a program for low income high achieving students who keep at the top of their class and attend hours of academic classes a week.

What I’m Raising Money For

I’ll spend most of my time in Buenos Aires, the sophisticated and lively capital city, which is home to first-rate museums, music, theater, and hipster-friendly cafés. By balancing language classes with fun activities and day trips beyond the city, the program will deepen my understanding of Argentina’s varied cultural traditions. By the end of my two-week adventure, I’ll return home with an improved grasp of Spanish and an appreciation for Argentina’s diverse culture, food, people, and progress in human rights.

Why You Should Give

It has always been a goal—more of dream—of mine to travel the world on my own, which will push me to become more independent. Independence is something I’m looking forward to because I really haven’t been on my own before and wish to dip my feet into it before college. I feel that this experience will transform me and make me look at the world very differently. I understand that traveling costs are huge, so I would be honored and full of gratitude if you can donate to support my trip to go to Argentina. Thank you!
