About

Hi, my name is Olayinka Ajayi and I'm a rising senior in a Brooklyn public high school. I am particularly passionate about writing, learning, and law. My passions have contributed to my continuous success in school, and I allow them to motivate me and build to my accomplishments. I have a lot of attributes about myself that I take pride in, one in particular being my tendency to be my biggest motivator. I love how I keep myself responsible for everything I need to do, and it is a trait that I plan to keep building upon.

What I’m Raising Money For

I am raising money for an academic program to study and practice civic leadership in a prestigious out of state university. The program will give me hands-on experience in civic leadership by serving the community through various leadership-building events, it will allow me to study social problems and think about possible solutions, and it will allow me to network with influential leaders who can make such changes to the problems we study over the course.

Why You Should Give

I've always had an interest in being a beneficial resource to others in one way or another, which is one of the main reasons that I would lie to become a lawyer in the future. I've always had a fairly clear definition of how lawyers worked, and that–generally– they had interpersonal connections with their clients. I would like to better this skill within myself, and genuinely understand what it means to connect with and better others.
This program serves as an opportunity for me to have a more refined definition for what it means to help others on a personal level like I have always hoped to. I feel that knowing how to and having a desire to better the quality of life for others is the best way to learn how to help and how to make a difference in the world.
