About
My name is Shantinque Bailey and I am a junior at Manhattan Center for Science and Mathematics. I am an intellectually curious student that enjoys math and science. Outside of school, I like to challenge myself by taking college courses through College Now and attend a program, Sponsors for Educational Opportunity, that enables low-income students to be successful in high school and beyond.
What I’m Raising Money For
I will be going to Berlin, Germany to study Global Entrepreneurship this summer for three weeks. During the program, I will learn how to be a successful entrepreneur, live like a local, and learn about the rich German culture. This is extremely important to me because I want to major in International Business in college. Studying abroad this summer is going to allow me to discover more about this subject and hopefully affirm my intended career path. The money you donate will go towards airfare and other program fees.
Why You Should Give
As a young Caribbean-American woman from New York City, opportunities like this are amazing and show me that my hard work in school will pay off. Since I was young, I always had a fascination with traveling, and now I aspire to create my own business. Going to the startup capital of Europe will finally give me the chance to explore the vast and complex world of business across borders and how communicating with different cultures is essential in this field.
