About
My name is Fatou Diokhane. I am a current junior at University Heights High School and SEO Scholars. I am interested in exploring new cultures and languages and have a passion of global history. Along with those interests I am also passionate about community service, in fact, I'm currently I am a Narrative 4 Ambassador I facilitate story-exchanges among lower class men to promote and cultivate a safe and empathetic school environment.
What I’m Raising Money For
This summer I am seeking to live out my passion of exploring history and new cultures, by traveling to Egypt to learn Arabic. I hope to not only gain a new understanding of Egyptian culture but to challenge myself by stepping outside of my comfort zone.
Your contribution will cover the cost of transportation, textbooks, tuition, etc.
Why You Should Give
This will not only benefit me but will also benefit those around me. By immersing myself in Egyptian culture and language. I can add to classroom discussions and enrich everyone's learning experience, This will set me apart from other college applicants and will aid me in the competitive job force.
