About
I am Nia Lawrence a current junior at Highland High school and SEO Scholars. Ever since young nature has captivated me, the experience of objects grow and alter is truly intriguing. I keep myself busy through studying, playing flag football, and participating in various school activities that allow me to donate my time to make changes such as Interact club, GSA, and Environmental club.
What I’m Raising Money For
This summer many students will be at home relaxing, however, I plan to take full advantage of my summer by making lasting memories while exploring a unique environment. I am proud to say I will be participating in a 12-day experiential program on the great plains of Montana. I will be exposed to backpacking, canoeing, hiking, and knowledge of conservation efforts. You won't only be supporting a young dedicated black female, but also giving inner-city kids the chance to seize experiences to prepare them, for college, that they otherwise wouldn't have.
Why You Should Give
Your support would be financing the opportunity to travel and place me in an unfamiliar setting, along with gaining leadership skills, independence, confidence, and the ability to navigate unique experiences. This will all be a wonderful experience to prepare me for situations sure to come while in college.
