About
My name is Emily Ortiz and I am a current junior at All City Leadership Academy. Since, I was little I always had a passion for helping others. I want to explore this passion of mine even further in a potential career in Psychology. Additionally, I am apart of a program called SEO Scholars; it's a free 8 year program where they provide endless opportunities to unrepresented public high school students to and through college. With the help of SEO, this upcoming summer I will have an amazing opportunity to participate in a travel Abroad Enrichment Program, where I will be doing volunteer service in a developing country.
What I’m Raising Money For
SEO has properly prepared me for an opportunity to explore a Travel Abroad Enrichment Program this summer 2018. During this summer, I will be interacting with a new culture and group of people. Additionally, I will have the chance to expose myself in a new environment where I can build on my leadership and communication skills. This program will allow me to grow as person by pursuing my passion of helping others in global education, specifically education for young girls.
Why You Should Give
Many SEO Scholars return from their Enrichment Programs with confidence and independence. This Travel Abroad Enrichment Program will give me the chance to leave my comfort zone and discover a new part of myself. In addition, this experience will help me advocate more on global issues, especially global education.
