About

My name is Albin Krasniqi and I attend Marble Hill High School for International Studies in the Bronx, New York. I am also involved in SEO Scholars, a program destined to help students across NYC get into and graduate college. SEO has its scholars attend classes every Saturday and once during the week. During this summer, I will be traveling to Mallorca, Spain for three weeks.

What I’m Raising Money For

I will be studying Marine Science and participating in field work in Mallorca, Spain during the summer. Traveling abroad can be expensive and it will require money for the experience to run smoothly. I am raising money to cover expenses such as flights, program costs, food, and other necessities.

Why You Should Give

During this summer, I will travel to Mallorca, Spain to study Marine Science and participate in field work. I am particularly interested in this specific program because the environment is important to me. I want to expand my knowledge on the millions species in the ocean and how we have negatively affected the ocean through global warming. The world is such a beautiful and breathtaking place and the only way for me to acknowledge and preserve this beauty is to experience in first hand. Participating in this program will force me to step outside my comfort zone because it will be my first time traveling outside the country alone. In addition, this experience will develop and increase my maturity because I will have to make smart decisions on my own, such as how I spend my money and what time I go to sleep. Moreover, I will have the opportunity to network with students of similar interests as me and others that I meet there. This program will help me grow as a person and I can utilize the skills I acquire there when I go to college. Lastly, this experience will help me get a step closer to accomplishing my dreams and aspirations.
