About
My name is Ronaldo Salazar, I am a current a junior at Bronx Leadership Academy II High School. My favorite sport is soccer and I am interested in the field of STEM. I am part of Sponsors of Educational Opportunity, a free eight-year academic program that gets low- income public high school students to and through college. I am part of mouse squad, a group that helps our school update computer software.
What I’m Raising Money For
This year I will spend my summer going to a program for a month for rising juniors and seniors learning in the field of technology. They will teach inexperienced students coding skills, computer science, mobile web development, entrepreneurship, and networking skills. This program focus is to motivate young Black and Latino men to be part of the field of technology.
Why You Should Give
I come from a low-income family which can't afford to pay the full expenses of my summer program. Those who donate will allow me to experience the field of technology. This program will give me skills that will benefit me in the future since I am pursuing college and major in computer science or any field that involves technology. I will be a first-generation college student in my family. As well as meeting new people who have similar interests in technology and integrating myself into that community.
