About

My name is Volha (Olga) Palhun, and I am a junior at Smithtown High School West. I have a variety of interests: I love to sing, draw, studying for my science classes spending time with my baby sisters and, sometimes, writing short stories.
Science has always been my passion, I even once asked my parents to buy me a microscope for my birthday. For years I have dreamed of becoming a doctor, and now that I got accepted to a pre-college program that is based on medicine and pathology, I'm closer to achieving my dream. I just need a little help.

What I’m Raising Money For

With the money I raise, I will be one step closer to my dream of becoming a doctor. It will enable me to participate in a pre-College medical program in pathology. In this program I will be able to work in a hospital environment and explore different diseases such as tuition and transportation, that are not covered by scholarship.

Why You Should Give

The pre-college program will prepare me to confidently step into the pre-med major that will teach me how to help people by curing diseases, running surgeries, or researching new cures for various serious diseases such as HIV. I am very passionate in becoming a great doctor that will create healthier and happier community.
