About
My name is Elvis Maliza and I am a junior at All City Leadership Academy, located in Brooklyn. In school, I enjoy taking rigorous courses such as Chemistry and Pre-Calc. Outside of school, I am an SEO Scholar, I volunteer at Wyckoff Hospital Medical Center, and I engage in an afterschool tech course discussing the creation of music through Python at Google. For fun, I usually run early in the morning at my local park, take photos around NYC, read sci-fi novels while listening to peaceful guitar music, and binge-watch Netflix series with my younger brother during the weekends.
What I’m Raising Money For
During this summer I'll be participating in a seven-week program at a prestigious university where I'll be engaging with innovative teaching and learning techniques that are highly effective, fun, and memorable. They include role-play simulations, student debates, mock trials and critical thinking games. The end goal is to display leadership by exploring some of the toughest policy issues the world is facing in the 21st Century. However, the program has a heavy cost but with your donation, no matter the amount, will allow me to take part in this amazing opportunity.
Why You Should Give
Nowadays, adolescents are raising their voice for a better environment for us children. The program will allow me to become an ethical and effective leader in my community. The classroom activities have been designed not only to convey exciting content related to leadership but more fundamentals to develop the critical thinking skills vital to my own academic and personal development. In the future, I'll like to be an advocate leader for communities that lack public health. To start this path I must take the first step into participating in this program.
