About
My name is Adia St. Juste, I attend PACE High school in New York City. I am captain of the cheer leading of the team and I am apart of SEO scholars (Sponsor for Educational Oppurtunities). During my free time I enjoy volunteering to work with children, these volunteer experiences set building blocks for my future career as a social worker.
What I’m Raising Money For
I have been provided with the opportunity to visit Japan and gain knowledge of the Japanese language and culture. A host family has been generous enough to open their home to me during my study abroad experience. I will be taking a language study course within the japanese communty, and exploring Japanese traditions. With this oppuruntiy at hand, I will be able to not only expand my horizons, but also grow as an independent individual.
Why You Should Give
In the past I have taken a language class in school and really struggled, which resulted me to fail. I believe that with this oppurtunity to actually learn a language within the orgin of the languages birthplace, I will be more successful in not only understanding others but also having an opportunity to grow from being exposed to others language in such depth.
