About

Hi! My name is Drew. I'm an 11th grader at The Young Women's Leadership School of Brooklyn. Some of my hobbies include playing the guitar and piano and watching lots of cartoons. My interests are learning to code and do animation.

What I’m Raising Money For

This summer, starting in July, for 3-weeks I will be going to study pre-engineering at a college campus in St. Louis, Missouri. At this program I'll go on trips that involve biotechnology and space travel. I'll do labs that examine the intersection of different engineering fields. Then work with a team with other students on project of our choosing.

Why You Should Give

As a women of color trying to go into the STEM (science, technology, engineering, math) field I'll need all the help I can get to succeed. That's why this program is important to me. I plan to go into a field that is male dominated and if I want to prove myself as someone who can keep up I'll need to take advantage of every resource that comes my way. That's what this pre-engineering program will do for me. I'll be able to get a foundation in tech that my school can't offer me. That's why I need your help; the money you donate to me (any amount helps) will help fund the book I'll need, transportation, room and board, and more. Thanks for taking the time to read!
