About

My name is Joanna Zakiewicz. I'm a junior attending Manhattan Village Academy. I love to read because it engulfs me into the character's life and allows me to experience the wildest of adventures from the comfort of my bed. I also love to draw because it allows me to express my creativity and my different perspective of beauty as well showing my emotions. Whenever I get some spare time from school and work, I go out with friends for adventures around the city or just to grab a pastry.

What I’m Raising Money For

The money raised will help support my participation in a Summer Travel Abroad in China. My program will allow me the privilege of travelling to China and stay with a host family for six weeks. During that time, I will be learning the Mandarin language as well as the customs, cuisine and culture of China. I will be exposed to a different set of social norms, gain independence and be better prepared for college.
