About

My name is Jessica Deleon. I am a Junior at Brooklyn College Academy. I enjoy reading books and spending quality time with my family members during my free time. I also attend an academic and mentoring program called Sponsors for Educational Opportunity that prepares me for college through SAT prep classes, tutoring, and networking.

What I’m Raising Money For

This summer, I will be attending an IVY League University for three weeks. There, I will be taking an Abnormal Psychology course. This program will help me step out of my comfort zone and encourage me to do new things and experience new places. I can interact with professors and build a strong connection with them thus enhancing my college experience. I can meet many individuals from diverse backgrounds and hopefully build a strong relationship with my peers. In addition, I will get a first hand college experience that will help me develop independence.

Why You Should Give

Through your support, I will be able to attend this academic program and get a better sense of college life away from home. I can participate in clubs and organizations that will expand my perspectives on many particular topics and help me expand my social circle. I am very interested in psychology, so I am excited to take this course. I hope to gain a lot of knowledge through this course and hopefully see whether I want to pursue this career. This opportunity will help me grow as an individual and your support is greatly appreciated.
