About
My name is Jostin Romero and I am currently a Junior at Pelham Lab High School. I like playing sports and staying active. I usually play Basketball with my friends at the park or at nearby courts. I also like playing video games on my free time.
What I’m Raising Money For
I have been part of SEO Scholars, an eight year academic program that prepares students for college, for 3 years. The program prepares us for college through hours of academic instruction throughout Saturdays, 30 days during Summer, and weekdays. As an SEO scholar, I will participate in an enrichment program that last 3 weeks during the summer. The program is an outdoor course that embeds leadership skills in you through hard-work. The program is located in Wyoming and teaches people the skills needed to survive in the woods while also taking care of a horse.
Why You Should Give
As someone who loves the outdoor, this is a one time in a lifetime opportunity. Not only would I learn how to live in the woods for about a month, but I would get the chance to be independent in an unfamiliar place. To some extent being able to strive at an unfamiliar place would be preparatory for college. By donating, you wouldn't just helping me achieve an opportunity of a lifetime, but you will be helping other scholars who are going on their own programs. Although my goal is to raise 300 dollars, for every additional dollar you will be helping us achieve our collective goal of 65,000 dollars.
