About

Hello, my name is Martin Nze and I'm a junior at Marble Hill High School for International Studies. I grew up in the Bronx and enjoy the community that I live in. I'm interested in the business and engineering career fields, and I'm striving to figure out my path in life. I also have a general interest in sports and play soccer for my school team. I'm currently kept busy with my college prep program Sponsors for Educational Opportunity(SEO), which assist students in acquiring resources to get into college.

SEO Scholars is a free eight-year academic program that gets underserved public high school students to and through college—with a 90% college graduation rate.

By the end of high school, SEO Scholars gain a year and a half of additional instruction in math and two and a half years of additional instruction in English.

100% of SEO Scholars are accepted to four-year colleges.

What I’m Raising Money For

This summer I plan to take advantage of my summer by participating in an enrichment program that I was nominated for through SEO Scholars. In this program, I will venture out into the wilderness of Montana with a few of my fellow SEO peers and explore. This will force me get out my comfort zone by putting me in an unfamiliar environment and figuring my way around. I can also gain independence, leadership skills, and thus hopefully better prepare myself for college. The money that you donate would ensure that I and future scholars will have this chance to create new experiences.

11th Grade SEO Scholars are looking to participate in an Enrichment Program this summer, where they will access a variety of opportunities including traveling abroad, experiencing college life & rigor by attending a pre-college program, gaining an appreciation for the wilderness by exploring natural landscapes, or developing professional expertise by participating in a hands-on internship.

Your contribution will cover the cost of transportation, textbooks, camping gear, tuition, etc.
