About
My name is Fabian Garcia III. I am currently an 11th grade Junior at the Urban Assembly School for Global Commerce in New York, New York
SEO Scholars is a free eight-year academic program that gets underserved public high school students to and through college—with a 90% college graduation rate.
By the end of high school, SEO Scholars gain a year and a half of additional instruction in math and two and a half years of additional instruction in English.
100% of SEO Scholars are accepted to four-year colleges.
What I’m Raising Money For
I have been nominated to take part in a Pre-College Enrichment Program at the University of Maryland. This is a summer program and I'll be taking a course in Anthropology and receiving college credit. I will be living on campus for 3 weeks.
11th Grade SEO Scholars are looking to participate in an Enrichment Program this summer, where they will access a variety of opportunities including traveling abroad, experiencing college life & rigor by attending a pre-college program, gaining an appreciation for the wilderness by exploring natural landscapes, or developing professional expertise by participating in a hands-on internship.
Your contribution will cover the cost of transportation, textbooks, camping gear, tuition, etc.
Why You Should Give
This program will prepare me for my future college experience. It will open my mind up to what it's like to be independent and live on a college campus.
These Enrichment Programs are a chance for Scholars to leave their comfort zone, and ultimately help them build confidence, independence, and college-readiness! By lending your financial support, these Scholars will have access to the experience of a lifetime that they could not otherwise access.
