About

My name is Danayvia Nieves and I am currently a Junior at Leadership and Public Service High School. I am a member of Sponsors for Educational Opportunity and enjoy softball, going to the beach, zoo and national parks. Being a true New York girl, I have really grown to appreciate nature and the sciences.

What I’m Raising Money For

I am raising money to help support my participation in an experiential program that focuses on nature conservation and sustainability. I will be immersed in the great outdoors for two weeks with a focus on learning thoughtful conservation efforts, while taking advantage of the rare opportunity to be an active participant in a natural landscape. During this program we will hike, camp, swim, and learn about one of the largest nature reserves in the country.

Why You Should Give

Conserving our natural resources and spreading information on how we can take better care and appreciate our earth is critical in this modern day. This experience will be rare as it will allow me to an active participant, while learning all about the nature reserve and how the community depends on it. This will surely be an unforgettable experience.
