About
My name is Regina Lau. I am a junior at NYC Museum School. My hobbies are exploring, dancing, and helping others. I motivate others to strive for their best and give them the support. Since I am attending to a museum school, I go to museums to see different types of art from different cultures and explore in order to gain knowledge of the world's history. Meanwhile, I am also part of the SEO Scholars which is a non-profit organization that promotes low income students toward their success and aid them through college graduation. Joining SEO Scholars allows me to meet the brightest scholars across NYC.
What I’m Raising Money For
I have this amazing opportunity from SEO Scholars to go study abroad to Botswana for three weeks. In addition, I will be living at a host family in the city and get a sense of their culture while exploring people and interactions among them. Also I will be camping in a Safari for a week with other peers in the program.
Why You Should Give
Going to Botswana is a rare experience to see the action in the country rather being educated by teachers and professors. Since I am being educated about Africa in school but I never went to the country to experience it myself. This is my opportunity to strengthen my values and interest towards my future career. Thus, this trip will encourage me to get out of my comfort zone and face new challenges and resolving it on my own. I am grateful for the help of investment that I am receiving so far and any support that I will be receiving will be very appreciative.
