About

My name is Brian Revis, I am a junior at All City Leadership Secondary School. I have a big interest in studying natural sciences in college but I'm still exploring my interests. This summer I am also being given the opportunity to leave the city through an enrichment program I have been granted with. Additionally, I am a student in the program Sponsors For Educational Opportunity where we take 720+ hours of additional academic classes on Saturdays and throughout the summer.

What I’m Raising Money For

This summer SEO Scholars is sending me on an enrichment program where I will be solely focused on experiential learning to complement my high school curriculum. I hope to broaden my horizons, strengthen my leadership skills and focus on expanding my advocacy throughout this program. However, this program is expensive and unfortunately SEO nor my family has the money the cover the whole cost. While I am planning my trip to the Appalachian Mountains this summer, your support will ensure that have the funds available to to enjoy and learn on this trip.

Why You Should Give

Coming from an urban area, I have been used to the lifestyle and culture of New York City, however, this trip will provide me with the exposure to nature that I have never experienced before. I believe this enrichment program will open my eyes and put me for a better position for college in the future. Traveling and hiking through the Appalachian Mountains will help me see life in a new light and positively leave an impact on my mindset.
