About

My name is Emmanuel Ogunremi, and I am a current junior at High School For Public Service : Heroes of Tomorrow. I am interested in law, politics, sports, and aspire to graduate from college and hopefully get my masters. I am an open-minded person, as well as a tenacious person who attends Sponsors For Educational Opportunity, an academic program for minority groups. In addition to this program, I am a leader in my church.

What I’m Raising Money For

The money raised will support me in my journey to graduate college, by attending a pre-college program that allows students to take courses for college credit. I will have a head start when I actually begin college. I plan to use my experience this summer as a way to understand the college setting and the difference in structure, difficulty, and time management required to excel at the college level. In addition to raising funds for my pre-college program at a tier 1 liberal arts college, the funds will also help others in my academic program who need assistance in raising funds for their enrichment program. Enrichment programs are very vital resources for students like me, although expensive, it gives me and others the ability to explore places never seen before and builds as well as test inner character traits.

Why You Should Give

Being an African American youth, the opportunity to do something enlightening and fulfilling is very slim. I want to go to this program in order to challenge myself, become independent, and get out of my comfort zone. In addition to working vigorously at this college, I receive college credits, which will help and give me a head start in my future endeavor to attend and graduate at an elite university.
