About
Hello all! My name is Denise Ajanel and I am a current junior at Academy of American Studies in Long Island City, Queens. Everyday, I strive to make a difference through my education in hopes to help prosper underrepresented communities in the future. One of my goals is to be able to understand the human mind in order to help and alleviate problems they undergo in their lives by gaining exposure to Psychology, a field that is so complex and has yet to bring more discoveries.
What I’m Raising Money For
This summer, I was given the opportunity to gain exposure to the basics of Psychology in one of the top tier universities located in Rhode Island, Providence. Not only will I be enrolled in a Social Psychology course, but, I will also be emerging myself in the college environment where I strive to be in a year and a half from today. Attending this program will be a reflection of independence and allow me the opportunity to step out of my comfort zone indulging in my education.

I am a low income, minority student, hoping to make a difference in the future, and it all starts now.
