About
My name is Trinity Hollis and I'm a junior at Leadership and Public Service High School. I'm an SEO Scholar and virtual tutor outside of school. I'm a poetry enthusiast whose variety of hobbies include playing piano, baking, writing sci-fi short fiction, sewing and so many other things. I've been offered the opportunity to continue expanding my knowledge and acquire new skills as I study abroad in Morocco this summer thanks to SEO Scholars.
What I’m Raising Money For
I was nominated through SEO Scholars, an extracurricular program outside of my school, to participate in a unique travel-abroad program. This program that culturally immerses students in a foreign country to participate in a new lifestyle with host families, practice survival and language skills with other corps members, and learn in hands-on activity. The Morocco program lasts about a month, I'll be traveling throughout the country performing with a choir to local families. I'll begin to understand what it means to follow tradition and unearth my passion for music in an entirely new light. Unfortunately, not all of the costs of this experience are covered by SEO.
Your contribution will cover the cost of transportation, tuition, materials, etc.
Why You Should Give
Not only will this experience benefit me on paper when I begin applying to college in the fall but it'll provide me with the skills necessary to live on my own while away at college. Without programs like SEO Scholars and compassionate donors who support my dreams, opportunities like these would be unfathomable. I'm one of the first in my family to come across a journey this adventurous and impactful. I'm so excited to take on a brand new way of life with my host parents and siblings to redefine the word "family". Personally, I feel music is a universal language that connects all of us. I can't wait to share my journey with my family of donors who've supported my dream.
