About
My name is Kezia Dickson. I am high school junior that attends NYC iSchool. I am a current scholar of Scholars for Educational Opportunity. I'm an individual that is passionate about fixing human rights issues, and playing an active role in reforming the American government. I'm currently Student Body President, and a part of Model United Nations and Black Student Union.
What I’m Raising Money For
This summer I will be participating in a Community Service Program in Thailand. This program enables me to teach children in poverty, and build programs that address issues such as HIV/AIDS, smoking, and insufficient education that are crippling the community. I'm particularly interested in the HIV/AIDS epidemic because I've studied the topic, and I've seen how geography plays a role in whether or not an individual lives. It is something that has the ability to be controlled when people are educated and are given ample resources. I want to be a part of a program that permits me to use my mind to create a difference. The money that you give will go towards my airfare and program materials.

I've worked diligently throughout my high school career to exceed my limitations, so that I may attend a top institution. The opportunity to participate in a transformational summer program will get me one step closer to fulfilling my aspirations. I aim to transform the lives of underrepresented groups in other countries.
