About

Hello, my name is Rayhanatul Usha and I am a current junior in the Manhattan/Hunter Science High School. Something to know about me is that I am the daughter of immigrants who came to this country with the dream of giving my brother and I educational opportunities that they were unable to receive back home. They struggled immensely throughout the 15 years that we've been living here just so I can do the things that my parents weren't able to do and that is to be a college graduate of a 4-year college.

What I’m Raising Money For

I am in a program called SEO. In this program, my fellow scholars and I are able to participate in enrichment programs over the summer. The sole purpose of these programs is to help us grow as individuals and work towards our dreams despite us coming from disadvantaged backgrounds. I will be participating in a STEM-based academic program that will equip me with the skills I need to further pursue my dreams of being able to help those who are unable to help themselves. In order to help support the costs of these enrichment programs, each of the scholars is given a fundraising goal to reach since expenses add up, especially for a program that has 200 students who are going to partake in an enrichment process.

Why You Should Give

Any support that you can provide will be greatly appreciated and will go a long way in helping my fellow scholars and I realize our dreams. For me personally, the money that is raised here will fund the expenses I need to cover in order to be able to open the doors of the medical field. Getting help from you will only help me succeed in college and beyond since I will be going through a college class during a time when most 11th graders are taking a break. Please help me if you are able to, again, it will not be taken for granted.
