About
My name is Christopher Jacome, and I am a student at the High School for Environmental Studies, as well as an SEO Scholar. I am very passionate for the sciences, especially those about biology and the structure of life. I am currently 17 years old, and for my whole life I have been interested about learning more about marine life and finding ways to advocate for the environment and the organisms that live there. One day I hope to be able to protect our oceans.
What Iām Raising Money For
Over the summer, I hope to join a program that will allow me to travel abroad to Spain in order to study marine science, including marine life and how the ocean functions. I will be working with a group of students and professionals that will guide us and teach us things that we could not learn in a conventional classroom. For a total of 21 days, I will be staying in Spain, learning new things every day and how to protect the marine environment. I hope to raise enough money in order to partake in this opportunity.
Why You Should Give
From this program I hope to delve deeper into a topic I have been so interested in for so long. My hope in the future is to become a marine biologist so I can make discover more creatures and protect them from our polluted oceans. This will also give me the chance to learn how to live by myself, which will prepare me for the college experience and adult life. This will be one of many stepping stone on my path to adulthood.
