About

SEO Scholars is a free eight-year academic program that selects poorly funded public high school students in New York City and give them the extra materials and classes needed to pass the SAT. The students attend SEO classes twice a week (Saturdays & one weekday) and devote a large portion of their summers to continue taking these classes. The program also carries on past the SAT's and follows each student through college, making it a huge but profitable commitment.

What I’m Raising Money For

During the summer of SEO's 11th graders, SEO puts their Scholars in Enrichment Programs (EP). These EP's allow us to travel the world, explore college campuses, participate in immersive internships, explore nature, etc. The possibilities are honestly endless. However, being that SEO is a Non-profit organization, they do not have the funds to take care of all 300 11th graders in their curriculum. So as a group collective, we all raise money to take care of the costs of our EP.

Why You Should Give

Enrichment programs are a chance for us scholars to expand our perspective and level of knowledge through leaving our comfort zone, and ultimately help us build confidence, independence, and college-readiness. By lending your financial support it will not only support and help manage the cost of my EP, but it will also help other scholars doing the same thing because the money goes into one account that way every scholar is able to use it.
