About

Hi, my name is Cindy Wang and I am a junior at NYC Lab School in Manhattan. I live in the Lower East Side in Manhattan and come from a low income family. I am currently trying to raise money for a travel abroad program to Japan this summer.

What I’m Raising Money For

This summer, I will be able to participate in a travel abroad program. Through this opportunity, I get to travel out of the country to Japan. I will be able to visit Tokyo, the largest city in Japan, and fully immerse myself into the culture. I also get to see certain temples and learn about Zen Buddhism and meditation. Additionally, I get to work with Japanese students in high schools of small cities.
Your contribution will really help with the cost of transportation and funding for activities.

Why You Should Give

This travel abroad program gives me a chance to get out of my comfort zone, and ultimately help me learn more about building confidence and independence. I have never traveled out of the country before, so this would be my first time. By lending your financial support, I will have access to the experience of a lifetime that will help me learn more about myself.
