About

My name is Thamid Hussain, and I’m a junior at Urban Assembly Gateway School of Technology. In and out of school, STEM captivates me the most, and thus, I’m active in multiple programs that help me further cultivate both my knowledge and interest in order to pursue them further in the future. In school, I take several AP courses to challenge myself and participate in numerous competitions.

What I’m Raising Money For

This summer, I will be attending a six-week academic program at Carnegie Mellon University where I take STEM classes like differential calculus to robotics, participate in college seminars, converse with a diverse student body from all over the US, and experience college culture first-hand. By immersing myself into this atmosphere, I’ll be able to get a grasp for what specific major I would want in college, understand the rigor and course-load of top-tier colleges, and acquire skills needed to prosper in a STEM-field n the future.
