About
My name is Darnell lord and I attend Manhattan Early College School for Advertising, also known as MECA. On Saturdays, one day throughout the week, and during the summer, I also attend Sponsors for Educational Opportunities, also know as SEO. I am very passionate about my education and expanding my knowledge as well as getting the experience of living on a campus away from home. i am also grateful to have been able to obtain a spring internship at the 4A's advertising agency.
What I’m Raising Money For
I am raising money to fund my participation in a two week college program were I will be taking college classes, I will be exposed to the rigorous class, I would also be able to see what I want to major in, as well as getting the feel on what the college life style is and finding my fit factors such as college size, location and class size.The funds that I am able to obtain will go to my basic needs such as travel expenses, textbooks, and my meal plan throughout the program.
Why You Should Give
As a first generation college student, getting advice from my parents on what is the best thing to do in college is sort of pointless. This program will be beneficial for me and get me used to the life of college that I will be exposed to in less than 18 months.
