About

My name is Caina Pierre and I am a junior attending Manhattan/Hunter Science High School. In my spare time, I love to bake and learn how to play the piano on my keyboard. Additionally, I am interested in science and medicine, and I hope to further explore my career goal of becoming an obstetrician nurse practitioner.

What I’m Raising Money For

I have been nominated to attend the American Field Service (AFS) Global STEM Program in Cairo, Egypt this summer. As a part of this program in Egypt, I will be taking Arabic language classes as well as STEM courses for three weeks. I am fundraising to help cover for certain costs that are not covered by this program's scholarship fund.

Why You Should Give

I am very excited about this program because it will focus on sustainable development and climate change, which are topics I am very curious about. As someone who is interested in learning more about science, I hope to expand my knowledge about the environment and the greater STEM field. Furthermore, this program will allow me to travel outside America for the very first time and immerse myself in another culture first-hand.
