About
SEO Scholars is a free eight-year academic program that gets undeserved public high school students in New York City to and through college—with a 90% college graduation rate. By the end of high school, SEO Scholars gain a year and a half of additional instruction in math and two and a half years of additional instruction in English. 100% of SEO Scholars are accepted to four-year colleges.
What I’m Raising Money For
Every summer, our rising seniors get to participate in a myriad of experiential programs. Through this opportunity, our scholars get to travel the world, explore college campuses, participate in immersive internships, discover their artistic passions and explore nature in places like Alaska and the Adirondacks.Your contribution will cover the cost of transportation, textbooks, camping gear, tuition, etc.
Why You Should Give
Enrichment programs are a chance for our scholars to leave their comfort zone, and ultimately help them build confidence, independence, and college-readiness. By lending your financial support, our scholars will have access to the experience of a lifetime!.

Why are you Donating?
Update from Tenzin Tsering
Your donation will help me get one step closer to experiencing a once in a lifetime experience that will not only help me get into college, but also grow as a person as I begin to understand the world outside of the U.S and outside of Asia. It will also allow me to get a glimpse of what humanitarian work will be like as I plan to pursue humanitarian work. Feel free to donate to me, however, if you do not wish to donate to me or is unable to donate, I would be very grateful even if you spread the word. Thank you.

What are you Donating For?
Update from Tenzin Tsering
I have been recently accepted to a certain travel abroad program to Colombia. However, in order to take this opportunity, I need a total donation amount of $400. Through this opportunity to travel to Colombia, I will be learning about sustainable development goals like reduced inequalities, Peace/Justice institutions and also sustainable cities just to name a few. This chance to go to Colombia will help me see what life is like in places that might not have the same quality of life as we do in the U.S. It will help me with my future dream of doing humanitarian work by giving me a small glimpse at what it takes. This is not purely vocational, its a once in a lifetime experience.

Who am I?
Update from Tenzin Tsering
Greetings! My name is Tenzin Tsering. I currently attend Robert F Wagner Jr Secondary School for Arts and Technology and try my best to push myself to my fullest academically. At school, I take the most difficult classes in my school that I am eligible for and after school, I not only have SEO, but also college know, where I take college level classes, and another program for SAT re called Urban Upbound. Despite all these programs, I excel in all, even SEO, the most rigorous and time consuming program My background is Tibetan and Nepali genetically with a mix of culture from China and India as well. As such, I'm very interested in cultures around the world as I have been exposed to so many different cultures at a very young age. My time these countries have also peeked my interests in humanitarian work around the world. As an immigrant and soon to become 1st generation college student, I know that I am ready for what life has to throw at me.
