About

My name is Steven Tom Jr. I attend the Urban Assembly School for Law and Justice. On Saturdays I am dedicating my time to a program called SEO, which is a non-profit organization that helps students with exemplary grades, from low-income neighborhoods, prepare for the SAT and life after high school. As a junior SEO gives scholars the opportunity to go on an enrichment program, in my case a travel abroad program. This summer I have been given the opportunity to travel to the Czech Republic.

What I’m Raising Money For

As one could guess traveling to a foreign country can be expensive, this is why I am raising money. In the Czech Republic I will be spending two weeks studying art and architecture. This would be the first time I am visiting Europe and the first time I would be traveling on my own.

Why You Should Give

As I said before traveling to a foreign country can be expensive. However, if you donate you would not only be helping me pay for my trip but you would also be helping me further my understanding of art by assisting to fund my experience. You would also be helping me in my transition into adulthood, in college I would be by myself so going on this trip would help me get used to being on my own. In addition to all of these reasons this trip would also help me further my college application. Thank you in advance for your support.
