My name is Jessy Garcia and I am a current junior at the Facing History School. As an aspiring Navy SEAL, I am constantly sharpening my skills in navigation and survival. Aside from this, I enjoy taking part in the sport of bodybuilding and studying philosophy.

What I’m Raising Money For

Over the course of this year I have been fortunate enough to have received the opportunity of taking part in an expedition of the Alaskan wilderness. While looking into this opportunity, I’ve realized that this will be an important part of my professional and personal development as an individual. Through this opportunity I seek to put my leadership, survival, and navigation skills to the test while also learning new ones along the way. The self sufficiency required to succeed in college and the mental and physical tenacity required to protect one’s country are the specific skills I seek from this opportunity.
