About

I am Anjalis De La Cruz and I am a Junior in Manhattan Village Academy. I am a Latina in New York who has not had many opportunities to learn about something that I am interested in, outside of the classroom. This program allows me to walk, talk, and feel the lifestyle of another culture.

What I’m Raising Money For

I am raising money to be able to travel to a culturally filled place like Argentina. With my program, I am able to stay in Argentina for a month and build on my knowledge of the Spanish language, as well as getting out of my comfort zone. In addition, I have the chance to learn about a different culture than the one that I am used to, which ultimately introduces me to new perspectives.

Why You Should Give

This Enrichment Program is important to me because I am used to a mix of Dominican and New York culture. Although I am proud of these identities, I would love to expand and learn about someone else's culture. The best way to do this is to immerse myself into that specific culture, physically. You can be a part of this by choosing to donate money because you are helping me doing something that I won't normally have the chance to do!
